Ritiro di Buddhismo Secolare con Stephen e Martine Batchelor

In questo ritiro esploreremo quale tipo di pratica di Dharma potrebbe emergere da un buddismo spogliato da quei tratti religiosi, dogmatici e patriarcali che hanno spesso caratterizzato il suo ruolo nelle società tradizionali asiatiche. Combinando riflessioni su classici discorsi del canone Pali con la pratica della consapevolezza, della discussione e della concentrazione mindful, cercheremo di disvelare ciò che sta al cuore dell’insegnamento del Buddha e ci chiederemo in che modo tali idee possano essere interpretate e messe in pratica nel mondo attuale sempre più secolarizzato e interdipendente.

Stephen e Martine Batchelor sono scrittori e insegnanti che vivono in Francia. Stephen è l’autore di Buddhismo senza fede e di After Buddhism. Il suo prossimo libro Secular Buddhism: Imagining the Dharma in an Uncertain World sarà pubblicato nella primavera del 2017. Martine è l’autrice di Meditation for life e di Let Go. This retreat will explore what kind of Dharma practice might emerge in a Buddhism divested of the religious, dogmatic and patriarchal features that have often characterised its role in traditional Asian societies.  Combining reflections on classical Pali discourses with the practice of mindful awareness, questioning and concentration, we will seek to uncover what lies at the heart of the Buddha’s teaching and ask how such ideas might be interpreted and put into practice in today’s increasingly secular and interdependent world.

Stephen and Martine Batchelor are writers and teachers based in France.  Stephen is the author of Buddhism without Beliefs and After Buddhism.  His next book Secular Buddhism: Imagining the Dharma in an Uncertain World will be published in the spring of 2017. COSTO

Il costo del ritiro è di 100 euro + 25 euro di tessera sostenitore (è sufficiente fare un unico bonifico di 125 euro) da versare al momento dell’iscrizione. Questa quota servirà solo a coprire le spese e non è rimborsabile, tuttavia qualora ci si ritirasse dalla partecipazione entro il 15 luglio la quota di 100 euro potrà essere recuperata attraverso la partecipazione ad altri eventi. Per gli insegnanti e per la traduttrice è prevista un’offerta libera.

The cost of the retreat is 100 € plus 25 euros for the registration in the organization (please make a single bank transfer for the total amount of 125 euros), which has to be paid at the moment of the enrollement to secure the booking. This cost will only cover the expenses and is non-refundable, however in case of withdrawal from the retreat before the 15th of July it will be possible to use the amount of 100 euros to partecipate to other events. For the teacher and the translator there will be a dana.
The cost for room and board is 50 euros per day and it will be paid locally at the moment of the arrival.
